Modern Terror on the High Seas

When the Nauticus Maritime Science Museum brought the touring exhibition Real Pirates: The Untold Story of the Wydah from Slave Ship to Pirate Ship to Norfolk, Design 3 was invited to design a companion gallery to tell the story of modern pirates.

Working with the staff of the Hampton Roads Naval Museum, Design 3 developed, fabricated, and installed Modern Terror on the High Seas. In addition to interpretive and video kiosks, the exhibit also included the lifeboat from the Maersk Alabama and a ScanEagle unmanned aerial vehicle.
