Dabbs House Museum

Dabbs House is a historic structure located in the middle of Henrico County’s Eastern Governmental Complex. Design 3 was chosen to design an exhibit spanning two rooms. One room interprets the key Civil War battles fought in the county (General Lee used the house as his headquarters for part of the war), while the adjoining room interprets the other historic functions of the house, including alms house, police headquarters, and emergency communications center.

Design 3 did the research and writing of all the exhibit text, handled image research and acquisition, designed and fabricated the casework, and supervised the installation of the galleries.
