In Progress: History Museum of Western Virginia

Roanoke, Virginia

Coinciding with the complete renovation of the Center in the Square Building in downtown Roanoke, the History Museum of Western Virginia selected Design 3 to provide turn-key museum services for their new permanent exhibition. With “Migration at the Crossroads of History” as the core theme, the new 3200 square foot exhibition will trace the history of Western Virginia from the Paleolithic Era to the present day.

Design 3 is responsible for all aspects of this design-build project, providing research, content development, scriptwriting, artifact and image acquisition, and all planning and exhibition design. Design 3 has partnered with proven subcontractors for audio-visual presentations, interactives, fabrication and installation.
